Other fun things

Grandpa Wilcox celebrated his 68th birthday the beginning of the month and we celebrated when he and grandma came over for dinner one Sunday. Elsie wanted to make the cake and decided she wanted to frost the whole entire cake so she took it out of the pan. Mike and I had no idea she had done it until it was done. I am impressed it didn't fall to pieces. It has been nice to have grandma and grandpa able to come over and visit. We love the company and love to play spoons together.
For church the women got together and had a girl's night. We were asked to bring an appetizer and have fun. I made the mistake of not eating before we went because when it came time to eat Elsie grabbed a plate full of desserts. She didn't eat any healthy food and took advantage of the treats. We were told we could wear a hat and Elsie wore this one.  I was just plane jane.

There were lots of games to play and some zumba lessons too. I mingled while Elsie played spoons all night. When I told her it was time to go she didn't want to leave. It was a great night out and fun to be among friends.

The boys have been playing in my flowerbeds. I banned them from one area because they had dug too many holes. They were told they could dig along the grass and they have spent many hours out there. One good thing about it is there is more shade to keep them out of the sun. Kaden had got quite the farmer's tan and it's not even summer yet.

They take my bricks from the flowerbed border and use them  to make roads.

In this picture Rylan has dug up weeds and replanted them. I asked Mike if boys ever grow out of digging in the dirt and he said no. Kaden the oldest still pushes a dump truck around.
These two boys are the best of friends and best enemies. They will help each other when one needs something. They comfort each other when one is hurt and try to cheer the other up. They bug each other and hurt one another. My favorite moment is when they say sorry and hug. I loves these boys.

Here is Elliot's attempt to take a picture. One of our camera's is very sensitive to movement. He was so excited to take some pictures.

This month in scouts Kaden made a bird house and went exploring for birds. He was excited he got to work with a hammer and hang out with some fun kids.

More Cannon fun

Last weekend we got out the candy cannon for a little bit. Mike's brain was working and found that tennis balls fit perfect in the cannon. They spent a long time shooting balls into the air and how high they could go. Camden wanted them to reach the planes in the sky.

Well, after shooting balls Mike turned it into shooting the tree and other things. The boys thought it would be fun to try and not get pegged by a ball.

Here they are hiding behind the trees for cover. What is it with ball and pegging others?
