Park fun

The weather has been surprisingly warm so we have spent more time outside. One Saturday we went to the school playground and had some fun. Reyen went down the slide for her first time. She didn't really care so much. The kids and I had some races around the playground. I beat Kaden once and then he beat me. And Rylan, he beat me so fast I didn't even get halfway through our maze. It was a lot of fun.

I thought these pictures were so funny of Reyen hanging out in her stroller.  Clearly she wasn't having as much fun as the rest of us.

Rylan is showing me how strong he in in these pictures. He held on for maybe 30 seconds.

The temple lights

I had it on my list to go see the light at temple square this year. When the weather was nice we decided to go. That day came and it was chilly. Mike said we should go two days later when it was suppose to be 60 degrees. So we planned for that. The morning was dark and windy. Mike said are you sure you want to go? I said yes so we bundled all the kids up and went.  Turns out it was really nice and we really only needed light jackets. When we went we didn't know the tabernacle choir was performing with the mupets. There was a long line for standby along with the crowd to see the lights. I made sure we saw the statue of Christ and the nativity.

This was my attempt to get pictures of the kids. Mike was the most cooperative.

We had some not so happy campers that didn't want pictures taken. At least we got to spend some time as a family together. What a beautiful sight.

Reyen is busy

I forgot to take 5 month old pictures of Reyen but here are some I have taken during her five months of living.  She is getting her own personality now and it is so cute. She will be 6 months next week.
Reyen laughs a lot. She likes to be tickled.
She loves to talk in loud happy voice. Everyone can hear her.
She also tells stories and talks with me in the sweetest way. She loves to listen to us sing songs to her. The boys often join in. The most adordable thing to see is all my boys singing twinkle little star to Reyen.
Reyen takes 3 naps a day. If she misses her evening nap she is cranky.
She sleeps 12 hours a night and seldom wakes me up.
Reyen eats about every 4 hours. She eats 7 ounces in the morning and at night, and 6 ounces during the day.
She loves to watch her brothers play.
Loves to stand and is sitting up now.
Reyen starts moving backwards on her tummy when she is going after something.
She rolls over but doesn't really like it because she hits the ground so hard. I am working on some patting.
Her hair is growing.

This is what happens when Reyen had tummy time. The boys are already teaching her about tractors.

When Reyen turned 4 months old it was time for her to move out of her bassinet and our room. She was too long and interfering with our sleep. Moving out of her little bed was fine but that required Camden moving out of the crib. We had not found another bed and found some pictures on pinterest. The day I said Reyen was moving Mike set to work making some beds. This guy is talented.  He looks at something and creates amazing things. The boys love them and we love having our room to ourselves again.
Reyen is sleeping well in her crib. She didn't know what to do with all the extra room to move around in. The boys have to be more organized about getting their things out when she naps or sleeps for the night. Occasionally Reyen has a hard time sleeping and stays up late making noise but I remind the boys they often make noise and wake her up from naps.

Reyen has been mastering her tummy muscles. She is getting good but still falls back often. Next week she will be a pro.

Rylan is toothless!

Mid November Rylan lost his second front tooth. He had lost his bottom teeth like 8 months ago and wondered why his front weren't coming out. They finally did! There is a big gap in his mouth now. He has such little baby teeth we were worried his big teeth will be small too. One of his top teethe are coming in now and is looking big. Phew. He may not have such a gap as we thought but we shall see.

7 1/2 and no front teeth!

Camden turns 4

Camden turned 4 in the middle of November. I cannot even begin to describe how excited this boy was. He was on cloud 9 because he thought he got to choose what to do all day and didn't have any chores.
When I asked Camden to hold up four fingers this is what we got.
Number 1 on the birthday list was eat chocolate pancakes. His face tells it all. Camden had a big smile on his face all day and reminded everyone he was the birthday boy.

Since Camden's birthday was on the weekend he got to open all his presents that morning.
Big sis Elsie gave Camden a little night light he carries around all the time.
Aunt Michelle never fails to get the children presents on their birthday. Camden was excited to see some awesome tractor books.

We had grandma and grandpa over for Camden's birthday dinner-lasagna. He would have liked aunts, uncles and cousins but I wasn't on top of things to get that going. Grandma gave him some Lincoln logs and all wanted to play.

Camden asked for cupcakes with sprinkles and cookie crumbs. He helped make the cupcakes and frost them.

This boy has personality. He is full of energy. I thought Rylan had energy, but this kid is one busy boy. I love...
4 how Camden cares so much for me he asks if I am going to die soon.We talked about it and he asks just to make sure I'm okay. It is starting to worry me.
3 how Camden wants to be independent but isn't quite there.
2 how Camden does chores with me and helps me with everything he can.
1 his hugs and cuddles. This boy loves to cuddle and when he does, it is close. I hope he never grows out of this.
I am so glad Camden is in our family. His smile brightens every one's day. He is shy at first but very social and is definitely a boy who belongs outside in the dirt. I think he would live in it if he could. His favorite things to do are play with trucks in the dirt and ride bikes. Boy do I love this 4 year old!
Extra:
A cute picture of Mike playing with his mother. I just wish the picture had come out better.
